Lorena brings over 15 years of professional expertise in the occupational therapy field. she began her career working with little ones with cerebral palsy, helping them have more functional use of their upper extremities. Lorena was immediately recruited by one of the largest hospitals in Miami, working under the most prestigious orthopedic upper extremity surgeons in south florida. she immersed herself and quickly fell in love with the orthopedic world. Lorena continued her career as a senior occupational therapist leading her team for the following eight years. in 2012, she relocated to boulder, started bouldering the day she arrived and fell in love with climbing immediately. Lorena realized the need for educating fellow climbers when they would approach her seeking help to get rid of shoulder or hand pain.

Lorena's story
Lorena completed her bachelor’s in science of occupational therapy in miami. she successfully graduated with honors while playing intramural soccer. she has attended and completed extensive coursework in orthopedics of the upper extremity, manual therapy, upper body sport specific exercise as well as functional exercise and training. Lorena is a certified kinesio taping practitioner, as well as certified in saebo reach and saebo flex orthotic application. additionally, she is also a certified power yoga instructor. Lorena is fully committed to patient recovery. she is always looking to advance her skills, constantly seeking new and improved evidence based treatment techniques to aid the speed of her patients’ recovery.
she is involved in her community and cherishes every opportunity she has to educate the public. she makes herself available to her patients day and night! Lorena is fully committed to integrating the best treatment techniques and quality of care to create a healthy and pain-free lifestyle for all of her patients. she is also fully bilingual in english and spanish. outside of her passion for her career, Lorena volunteers in community events, educating athletes. she also participates in fundraisers, climbing, and snowboarding. Lorena best enjoys her time off taking advantage of everything colorado has to offer with her family, friends, and her pooch, güido.
